Michelle Cheeney

Hello! I am an author, librarian, book binge reader, and overall literary junkie. I live in Hawaii (I know, so rough!) When I am not writing my next novel, you can find me hiking through sleeping volcanoes, scuba diving sunken ships, or road tripping with my sons in search of the next adventure.

Author, Teacher, Librarian

Michelle Cheeney

I’ve been writing stories ever since my mom shoved a box of broken crayons and a tattered notebook into my lap. I was four years old and my six siblings and I were shoehorned into the back seat of a Chevy Nova on a long road trip across the Badlands of North Dakota. In the doldrums of summer heat and barren landscape, I escaped into an imaginary world scribbling stories that only a child could understand.

I have since, honed my writing craft, first by working on screenplays and short stories and alas, finally cannonballing into the world of fiction. I have been an English teacher and librarian for several decades. In a nutshell, my career can be summed up by saying my inky blood pumps literature.

I’ve been very busy lately. This year has been dedicated to writing manuscripts. Several magical projects are brewing.

So stay tuned!
